2025 STRATEGIC PROJECTS APPLICATION CLOSURE


NATIONAL DISCRETIONARY GRANT (DG) STAKEHOLDER WORKSHO

CATHSSETA invites all stakeholders, including levy-paying employers, non-levy-paying employers, labour organisations, training providers, and Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s), including Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Community Education and Training (CET) Colleges operating within CATHSSETA sub-sectors, to Discretionary Grant (DG) workshops.

The topics to be covered in the workshop are as follows:

  • CATHSSETA organisation update
  • DG application process and guidelines for the 2026/27 FY
  • The supporting documents related to DG funding
  • Administration and management process on what transpires once an applicant is awarded funding
  • ETQA update on training provider registration and occupational qualifications.

a statutory body established in terms of the Skills Development Act (1998), as amended, to advance skills
levels in accordance with the National Skills Development Plan (NSDP).
