The Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) is a statutory body established in terms of the Skills Development Act (1998), as amended, to advance skills levels in accordance with the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) III. The CATHSSETA has initiated a partnership programme with the Chinese Culture Centre, a leading Chinese institution in South Africa together with the National Department of Tourism to provide TVET students with work experience through a 12 months Work Integrated Learning programme.

The main objective is to to establish a skills pipeline that will feed the hospitality industry with highly competent skills acquired from the Chinese industries.

CATHSSETA hereby invites TVET Colleges who are implementing Nated courses in Hospitality to express their interest in the 12 months Work Integrated Learning Programme

Target Beneficiaries:

  • N6 graduates in Hospitality

Interested TVET Colleges should complete the attached form and email it to veronicaj@cathsseta.org.za or submit at CATHSSETA head office.
